Major Programs
A few relevant milestones from our history include the following major programs:
Early Years
Serving in business development, contracts management, program management and operational management roles, throughout the 1980’s we won first-tier subcontract awards with major OEMs, including McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed Martin under the Peace Marble programs, for the manufacture and supply flight-critical electro-mechanical systems installed on the IAF F-16 Aircraft fleet. In 1988 we also managed and authored the winning proposal for the design, development and production of an airborne electromechanical system for the F-111 Aircraft, and subsequently managed this U.S. Air Force prime contract.
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Top Supplier
In 1990 we introduced products to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), becoming a top supplier in our Federal Supplier Class (FSC) by 1993, when we were chosen through Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR) to be the first supplier in our industry to pioneer direct-supplier-distribution-to-base of the finished goods we manufactured.
We became so proficient in regulatory compliance that the regional U.S. DLA Quality Assurance Chief asked us to provide bi-annual on-site training courses for MIL-standards 129L-M and MIL-STD-280.
First-Tier OEM Subcontracts
From 1998 through 2004 (as the U.S. subsidiary to an international parent organization), we supplied sophisticated flight-critical electronic systems to the U.S. Air Force C/KC-135 tanker fleet under subcontract with Rockwell Collins. We first obtained a top supplier award for this effort in 1999. The facility we established further served as the maintenance and repair center under this program’s 10-year extended warranty plan. During this period, under another program, Lockheed Martin delegated self-inspection authority to our QA team, after we successfully completed an intensive quality audit.
U.S. Government Prime Contracts
Having attained a well-deserved top-notch reputation, in 2003 we managed and authored a winning proposal, and were subsequently awarded a high-profile multi-million-dollar prime contract with the U.S. Navy to develop, manufacture and supply flight critical airborne systems for the EA-6B carrier-launched aircraft fleet.
And in 2004 Boeing (Wichita) invited us to present our systems directly to the flight staff and engineering ground crew of the USAF 89th Airlift Wing stationed out of Andrews Air Force Base, for supply of flight-critical electronics to upgrade their 747-200 cockpits.
Current and Recent Assignments
AISCENT Management has taken lead on numerous business development, contracts, subcontracts, and program management assignments, including: subassembly fabrication for the Boeing Space Shuttle PTU and Patriot Missile VDA and DRS Technologies TIS/U Programs. We managed business development and IAF F-15 / F-16 Fleet airborne electronics retrofit programs for TEAC Aerospace, after successfully managing a multiple-contract design, development, qualification, manufacturing, and supply effort, under an aggressive performance schedule, for airborne mission-critical electronic systems for the U.S. Navy F/A-18 Fleet.
We managed ECPs at Boeing IDS for the V-22 Program, and FFP and T&M contracts for a $170-million DRS program for international supply of nuclear power plant electronics. We set up and managed the ITAR / EAR export compliance department for a major international OEM, managed FMS / FMF programs and authored multi-volume TINA-Certified and IDIQ proposals valued at >$50-million each. Most recently and at present we’re fulfilling international and DoD bid management, contract management and risk analysis assignments for Saab Sensis and other medium-sized and major OEMs, as well as for small-business manufacturers.
